Right from jump street, those who are suffering from Catastrophia or "doom addicts" are expecting a most severe convergence of natural disasters. My guess is that we are entering a portal where a type of purposeful chaos will be a way of life in 2010. Juno in Aries (independence) is translating the future light as we toward the Uranus ingress into Aries in May. The eclipse chart below has an opposition to Saturn which restricts all of us in the name of justice. This lunar eclipse and the solar eclipse on Jan. 15th give us a preview of the future TSQ with Uranus-Saturn-Pluto all in cardinal signs, a context change is apparent as we see words like extremist or radicalization in the news spotlight
Foreshadowing in the Natural World
Most dramatic and worthy of Mars's retrograde motion in Leo is the Philippines' Mayon Volcano which has been emitting lava and belching smoke for the last couple of weeks
just poised for a massive eruption. Back on Dec. 15th residents began leaving the path of Mayon and by 12-22, almost all of the 47,000 residents living on the slopes of the rumbling mountain have moved to emergency shelters.
Maybe it was the beaching of 125 + pilot whales in New Zealand just a couple of days ago or the unusual departure of over 1,500 sea lions who have vanished from SF's Pier 39.
The Sea Lions began leaving in droves the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27), almost as if someone had issued an order. Hmmm, didn't Uranus station direct on Dec. 1st on first the Full Moon and yes Venus in a fixed water sign Scorpio was square Neptune on Thanksgiving. Venus-Neptune in hard aspect are not only a confusing or misleading time but can relate to instinctive fears or even panic in Seal Lion community.
The fate of the whales is tragic and is leading to theories of sea quakes.
The SEAQUAKE THEORY indicates that sudden changes in ambient pressure (seaquake) generated above the epicenter of certain shallow focus earthquakes in the seabed causes barotrauma in the pterygoid sinuses of the adult pod members. Speculation is rampant that some mega quakes will happen around the time of this lunation.
More than 125 whales have died in two separate strandings in New Zealand, conservation officials said Monday.
At Farewell Spit, west of the South Island tourist town of Nelson, 105 long-finned pilot whales died in a mass beaching on Saturday, while 21 pilot whales died Sunday at a beach on the east coast of the North Island.
Or that the Sea Lions suddenly showed up after the big quake in 1989. Now they have suddenly completely left.
Family of Eclipses: 12 North from Saros Series 115
Last summer's eclipses with the family of 11 South were all about sudden reforms, old systems that fail and sudden blocks being violently removed.
The new family of 12 North is about opportunities that come out of crisis.
Opportunities to accept greater responsibilities come suddenly into a person's life. These new commitments will most likely come as a result of another individual unable to to carry on. Although the events which herald this opportunities might be difficult, the outcomes in terms of harmony and self esteem are good.

Mars is crossing the Ascendant @ 18 Leo in a powerful opposition to Chiron @ 23 Aquarius. and Astrea (justice asteroid) now at 16 Aquarius. Whether it is the theatrical smoke and fire caused by the Northwest underwear bomber or the revolution in Iran the current Mars transit in Leo is all too clear.
A cardinal cross led by Moon in Cancer in the 11th. (ommunity groups, exchequer, allies of the country, local government. ) opposing the Capricorn Sun-Venus-Pluto making things a bit restrictive in the 5th
house of dealing with risk, speculation along entertainment, theaters, sports and social functions. The other arm of the cross is Saturn ruler of the speculative 5th house (Sagittarius on the cusp) and Cap. planets intercepted and ready to cool things down further and opposing Juno in hot Aries in the 8th. Note that Uranus is also in the 8th house of debt international finance and multi-national corporations for some sudden and unexpected financial surprises.
Fixed Stars in Blue Moon Eclipse Chart are Disastrous
For those who are not familiar withe the term Fixed Stars, they are stars that do not "appear" to move in relation to the other stars of the night sky. I am using parans from Starlight software to discern deeper meanings and will also add longitude.
First of all the HELIACAL RISING STAR is the royal star Antares from the heart of the Scorpion known to be driven by passion and obsession
HELIACAL SETTING STAR is El Nath from the Constellation Taurus. El Nath is the tip of the northern or left horn of the Bull.
A confronting attitude, a desire to deal with real life, real issues. Per Robson: El Nath has the nature of Mars and Mercury. It gives fortune, eminence and neutrality for good or evil.
Alphard is Culminating with Mars and as we know Alphard is an orange star in the neck of the Hydra or Watersnake.
This star with Mars involves aggressive, assertive persons. Per Robson: Brings trouble and scandal through love affairs involving married person. Bad for childbirth, if a woman liable to miscarriage and death, together with death of child, danger of serious accidents; if afflicting luminaries, danger of death by drowning or poison
Facies is rising with the Sun. Of all the stars in paran over London at this time Facies is probably the most destructive. Facies is from the Constellation Sagittarius and represents the nebula in front of the Archer's face.
The nebula in the Archer's Face is of the nature of the Sun and Mars, and causes blindness, defective sight (all nebula can cause blindness), sickness, accidents and a violent death.
