7.6-quake off Philippines triggers tsunami alert

High Potential for Tsunamis.
As you can see at this list from USGS for this Asia Region  there have been multiple strong quakes since the initial 7.6 Tremor. With the symbol of the ocean so strong on this Pisces Moon-passing Neptune (yesterday)  then Chiron at the time of the trigger quake. This has put inotion forces that will spread out toward the next New Moon. The Chart Below is set for the time of the quake when it struck Eastern Samar, at 8:47 p.m. Friday.
Taurus is rising opposing Mars also in a fixed sign in active Scorpio.,  Venus the ruler of the ascendant/chart now in a sign relating to the sea being Cancer . Venus is also in the 4th House of ground zero applying toward a powerful cardinal square with Saturn near the angular 7th.  Venus and Saturn in hard aspect not only means cooling weather, a mistrustful attitude but an extreme hardening or crust which can break suddenly.
Not to mention that Uranus-Pluto continue on their path with Pluto now statioing.
In fact on September 17th Pluto stations direct exactly at 10:05 PM, about 24 hours before the next Mega Turbulent and Chaotic Times Uranus-Pluto exact square - marked the day
Tuesday 8-18-2012 @  11:55PM PDT or Wednesday 8-19-2012 @ 2:55 PM EDT.

Friday, August 31, 2012 at 08:47:34 PM at epicenter

August 31, 2012 – PHILIPPINES A magnitude 7.9earthquake shook some parts of the Visayas, particularly Eastern Samar, at 8:47 p.m. Friday. The earthquake was later downgraded to a 7.6 by the USGS. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported in its website that the quake’s epicenter was located at 112 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The USGS issued a tsunami warning in the Philippines, as well as in Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan and Guam.
Geologic Summary per USGS: The August 31, 2012 M 7.6 earthquake off the east coast of the Philippines occurred as a result of reverse faulting within the oceanic lithosphere of the Philippines Sea plate. The preliminary location of the earthquake indicates this is an intraplate event, 50 or more kilometers to the east of the subduction zone plate boundary between the Philippine Sea and Sunda plates

A tsunami alert originally was issued for several countries in the region including Indonesia and Japan and for Pacific islands as far away as the Northern Marianas, but they all were later lifted, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said

Astrology report starting on Thursday: August 30th:

Tonight the mellow and totally insane Pisces Moon reflects a totally palpable shift. We may not be sure what is coming and could feel slightly apprehensive as our imaginations are fired up. Mercury along with stimulated from the active energies of Mars in Scorpio swim toward tomorrow's major Blue Moon in the sign of sacrifice, longing and weird experiences.
It doesn't take a prophet or NASA to tell you that the second Full Moon in August is a biggie even if it doesn't turn Blue. This deliberately cute story and video - Watch out for the Blue Moon even makes a reference to historic mega events like Krakatoa in 1883 this uncanny foreshadowing. "A truly-blue Moon usually requires a volcanic eruption. Back in 1883, for example, people saw blue moons almost every night after the Indonesian volcano Krakatoa exploded with the force of a 100-megaton nuclear bomb. Plumes of ash rose to the very top of Earth's atmosphere, and the Moon … it turned blue!" This is particularly appropriate with so much seismic activity world wide. This morning a large polar quake registering 6.8 Magnitude struck 99km NW of Olonkinbyen, Svalbard and Jan Mayen Island. Currently in Alaska, we are seeing a continued earthquake swarm awaken the volcano Little Stikin which has been dormant for 182 years In fact world wide there are a number of active volcanoes. In Indonesia two volcanoes, the Soputan and the Tangkubanparahu have been recording avalanches and volcanic earthquakes. In Ecuador increased activity has occurred at Tungurahua volcano, while the White Island Volcano has erupted multiple times, first in 11 year On the West Coast the massive quake storm in Brawley California has triggered a state of emergency.

Blue moons occur every two or three years (7 times in the 19-year Metonic cycle), Note that a period of 19 years is almost exactly equal to 235 synodic month which reflects an eclipse cycle. Today is pretty special with our without the Blue Moon. @ 6:58 AM this second Full Moon of August occurs in Pisces @ 8 degrees 33 minutes with this Sabian symbol: The race begins, a jockey spurs his horse with great speed. Since the last New Moon in Leo on August 17th it might seem like months have passed but we are now at a time of completion – a major turning point. There is a prophetic frequency to this Blue Moon since the Sun is at 8 degrees 33 minutes Virgo with this curious Sabian Symbol: A man making a futurist drawing. Visionary thought is favored here and since technology is over-hyped this moon offers us alternatives even aw potentially real 5 D earth to reside. Let's look at the fixed stars on this Blue Moon A chart set for San Francisco @ 6:58 AM PDT:
Chart Below:

Heliacal Rising Star is Alphard, which is an orange star in the neck of the the Hydra Watersnake. This represents obsessions which cause us to live life close to the edge, or to seek intense emotional encounters. Alphard represents a chaotic, turbulent and untamed energy. According to Robson, Alphard is a mixed blessing and curse. He says Alphard stimulates wisdom, musical and artistic appreciation, knowledge of human nature. Also triggers strong passions, lack of self control, immorality, revolting deeds and a sudden death by drowning, poison or asphyxiation. That sounds like something to be nervous about . The Heliacal Setting Star over San Francisco is Sadalmelek, pale yellow star on the right shoulder of the Water-Bearer, Aquarius. Sadalmelek is known as the Lucky One of the King. This star is known to bring fertility and when setting it helps us find unexpected abundance and good fortune in even the most difficult situations. tomorrow's Full Moon with a chart set for Greenwhich @ 1:58 PM
has Sagittarius rising @ 11 degrees Sagittarius with this Sabian Symbol
The lamp of physical enlightenment at the left temple.
Ruler of this Sagittarius rising chart is Jupiter in Gemini near Vesta in the 7th house of partnerships and open enemies
one thing to be sure of this will not be a quiet time so best to seek a place of seclusion and retreat for meditation
With Jupiter the story teller so prominnent in thsi chart T-Square the Sun in critical Virgo and the Moon in mysterious Pisces ongoing tales of oceanic discoveries will take on baffling explanations per this one: 'Mysterious' Baltic Sea Object Is a Glacial Deposit Another factor of the this lunation is the axis of public health and disease with Mercury and Sun in Virgo opposing Chiron-Neptune in Pisces
In NYC for Friday August 31st
Manhattan to be sprayed against West Nile virus Fixed Stars Over London's Blue Moon set for 1:58 PM UT we see the main theme of adventure played out with a bit of luck thrown in for good measure. Phact is the Heliacal Rising Star. Phact is a star in the body of the Dove and is called the "Good messengers" or "Bringers of Good News", More importantly Phact represents the principle of exploration and the ability to take a plunge into the unknown. Taking risks and moving forward without caution. According to Robson Phact has the creative nature of Venus and Mercury. It gives beneficence, hopefulness and good fortune. The Heliacal Setting star is Sadalsuud found in the left shoulder of the Water Bearer. Sadalsuud has been called the Luckiest of the Lucky and relates to natural flow and life giving energies. When setting Sadalsuud is about letting things take their natural course and appreciating synchronicity.
And you will have plenty of chances to practice.
Enjoy,

Explosive Leo Moon - We are heading for a showdown after the slowdown!

CURRENT MOON

She cried to the southern wind About a love that was sure to end Every dream in her heart was gone Headin for a showdown

This week might be described as an intensity that is bubbling out of control when many issues are at a crossroads. Places like the massive Louisiana sinkhole which swallowed a boat and two cleanup workers had to be rescued. Or over in Oakland where protesters that are holding sit-in at Obama campaign headquarters in Oakland. Sure we have Mercury trine Uranus a time of progressive events when strikes, protests and radical actions can be successful but everything seems to being hanging in the balance. Since Wednesday's rapid fire sequence of cardinal transits both upsetting the triggering that exact meeting of hostile, war-like Mars, filled with aggression combined with a controlling, restrictive Saturn This combination continued to create delays along with punishing attitudes and news about families. Suffice to say this transit of blind justice has been calling out deeper frustrations and disagreements which turned violent... Per example in South Africa (consider that mining relates to Saturn) Rising tensions explode into grisly violence at South African mine Or in DC yesterday... FBI probing shooting of guard at Family Research Council HQ Excerpt: "A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot in the arm by a gunman who sources said expressed disagreement with the conservative group's policy positions." Then today the advocate position knee-jerk reaction with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins blaming the Southern Poverty Law Center. Yes this forceful, Mars-Saturn conjunction (Aug. 15th @ 3:37 AM ) may have passed and is separating but we will continue to feel the effects.
Update: Last night in Los Angeles a real slowdown!
All lanes of the 405 Freeway reopened after a 5 hour traffic jam!
Also with strident and extremely prejudice Jan Brewer, Governor of Arizona, who channels the controlling and punitive Saturn aspect with this grinch like reaction: Jan Brewer denies deferred action recipients drivers’ licenses; will other governors follow suit?

Today's forceful, combustible and volcanic Leo Full Moon occurs @ 26 degrees offering us some respite it seems in an optimistic Sabian Symbol "A light breaks thru the clouds, a perfect rainbow forms." I am not saying that we are out of the woods by any means, in fact we are even approaching the next tumultous, waxing cardinal square with Uranus-Pluto in a 90 degree angle on September 18th @ 11:55 PM PDT. Even though we are in a critical, chaotic, disastrous and collapsing situation environmentally, politically and economically something new is rising from the ashes,

Below we have a chart set for this Royal, theatrical and super expressive New Moon for 3:55 PM Universal Time in Greenwich, UK.   Bold Sagittarius, the sign of foreign affairs is rising.  The archer seeking truth has his  bow bent back and is ready to fire. This is particularly relevant to the showdown happening at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. Both sides are locked in battle and the latest update tells us that Ecuador may file appeal to ICC (International Criminal Court) if the UK refuses Assange safe passage.

The Helical Rising Star over the UK is Sirius, the scorcher or the Dog-star found in the nose of Canis Major. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky known as the Shining One. When rising their is quest for immortality and willingness to follow noble causes sometimes blindly. This legendary star grants an awareness of the importance of the NOW moment and the ability to see the big picture and not get mired in the details.  According to Robson, "Sirius is said to bestow honor, renown, wealth, ardor, faithfulness, devotion, passion and resentment, and makes its natives custodians, curators and guardians."  Sirius is also on the nadir as Venus is setting which relates to poetry and music particularly one famous musician. Sirius is also on the nadir as Mars is setting relating to an intense dedication which leads to brilliance.

The  Heliacal Setting Star is Altair a pale yellow star in the neck of the constellation Aquilla, the Eagle. Here we are seeing the principles of boldness and military power Speaking of boldness, courage and resolve since the Leo Sun sextiles both Saturn (Aug. 17th) and Mars (August 20th) These fire/air combos add patience and organization to confidence, bravery and yes boldness to help deal with these problems. When Altair is setting difficult, demanding situations involving rapid action in an effort to inspire leadership. According to Ebertin, Altair will make people as bold as brass and foolhardy in order to assert themselves.

Saturn, the lord of karma and structure is conjunct by longitude both Arcturus and Spica.
This combo seems to offer a  mixed blessing and per Arcturus found in the constellation of the Hunter, Bootes. Arcturus blazes a path but it a  path less traveled and not conventional. Spica found in the Virgin (Virgo) constellation tells how we will receive great gifts of the Goddess if we are willing to take the longer and less favored  road.

Just like the last Uranus-Pluto waxing square on June 24th the effects were residual and this goes for those volatile and wild transits on August 15th. There was also another hard cardinal transit with Venus in domestic Cancer opposing transforming Pluto in controlling Capricorn and T-square that wild card, Uranus, the shocker.  These energies mirrored extreme relationships invovling obsession and compulsion. Since Venus translated the light forces of the ongoing/impending Uranus-Pluto square, the economy is front and center.  This transit  also signal a shift in the financial markets since Venus rules money and relating to banking, you know something big is happening, as this story surfaces. As the new moon approaches along with new or is it more realistic ideas especially about where the new era of debt and creditism vs capitilism is taking us per the video below. Consider that Mars, our most basic, assertive drive will shift from more diplomatic, balancing Libra into passionate, intense  Scorpio on August 23rd. representing debt and taxes .

As we see the last gasp of both Mars and also Saturn, the ringed planet and taskmaster shift into Scorpio (Oct. 5th) we can barely catch our breath before more changes.  As I have mentioned with the Nodes in the signs of swift movement and travel: Sagittarius/Gemini this is evident as we approach a major change on August 31st when the Nodes move into Scorpio/Taurus @ 8:06 PM PDT. It is said that the North Node in Scorpio brings the kind of upheavals that teach us to transform and change . All issues around security will be highlighted. With the South Node in Taurus we need to be careful in being too fixed or  rigid. Watch out for obsessions with personal posessions or routines. Many people will want to change their habitual day to day actions and re-evalutate their  personal values. This is a time for  rehabilitation, therapy, or spiritual disciplines but first enjoy the creative and joyous window of this Leo new moon. .
