It has been said that Solar Eclipses create effects that are felt more externally or all around us and lunar eclipses are internal and experienced via inner emotions. Of course there are other factors which defy this pat explanation. Eclipses come in pairs and to the astronomer are judged by the outer visibility. The last Lunar Eclipse on October 18th was considered a minor event since you had to look closely so as not to miss it. This his penumbral lunar eclipse is known as a Full Hunter's Moon which passed through the edge (penumbra) of the Earth’s shadow just after moonrise on the East Coast of North America. The western part of the Philippines (including western Luzon and Palawan) saw this penumbral eclipse at moon set. Two days before this eclipse, the a massively dangerous quake hit the Bohol region of the Philippines killing 222 peopleand causing upwards of 4 billion dollars in damage. That and successive quakes in Taiwan, Chile and off the coast of Honshu where anything but minor. In fact fast forwarding to November 6th. we see that another Super Typhoon named Yolanda is bearing down on the Philippines with maximum winds of 115 kph and gusts of up to 146 kph and could make landfall on Friday November 8th. with the Moon entering the sign of shocking/sudden events. The solar eclipse which happened Sunday, November 3rd. was the type of event which eclipse chasers don't bother chasing because was of such a short duration in some places lasting only a matter of second. The LAX shooting suspect: Paul Anthony Ciancia, the 23-year-old is one of the Pluto in Scorpio generation. Along with things underground and from the underworld coming into the light per example this super drug tunnel discovered in San Diego on Nov. 1st. Not to mention that Mars in mutable earth sign Virgo is pushing up against the upheaval created by the Uranus-Pluto aspect adding to multiple seismic and weather related events.
Hybrid Eclipse
So on November 3, 2013 @ 4:50 AM PT or 7:50 AM ET, a new moon in Scorpio occurred along with a Solar Eclipse. This was not your ordinary new moon solar eclipse, it was a hybrid eclipse of the Sun with a magnitude of 1.0159. A "hybrid eclipse": shifts between a total eclipse (when the Moon completely obscures the bright light of the Sun forming a corona) and an annular eclipse (when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun).
At certain points on the surface of Earth it appears as a total eclipse, whereas at other points it appears as annular. Hybrid eclipses are comparatively rare The totality of this eclipse will be visible from the northern Atlantic Ocean (east of Florida) to Africa (Gabon (landfall), R. Congo, DR Congo, Uganda), with maximum of 1 minute and 39 seconds visible from the Atlantic Ocean south of Ivory Coast and Ghana. Already in the Congo, there is a sudden hope for peace. since Congolese rebels surrendered on Tuesday to end a bloody 20-month uprising offering tentative hopes of peace in one of the world's deadliest conflicts. This family of eclipses is known for "sudden, unexpected releases of energies from the collective unconscious which can provide insight in order to solve ongoing problems that have festered for years."

And since Pluto is in Capricorn in mutual reception to Saturn now in Scorpio, that which is covert, secluded or obscured will be exposed more dramatically. Since this is a time when new agendas and projects are announced and begun large changes in leadership will occur. Mercury (lord of the 6th/3rd house and Virgo) is still retrograde in SCORPIO till November 10th. Yes Mercury can be caustic when in this t sign of Enigmas, gangsters, the underworld, taboos, sexuality, transgressions, other people's luxury and possessions. Mars (the ancient ruler of the Scorpion ) now in Virgo, the Virgin which is in mutual reception to Mercury traveling in the shadow slightly pessimistic realms. No matter how much they try to suppress, manipulate everything including the weather more will be out in the open including refuge/garbage like the million tons of Fukushima debris just 1,700 miles off the American coast. Remember that Scorpio can be quiet vindictive and seek retribution like the massive anonymous million mask march on Guy Fawkes day-November 5th.
Take heart ultimately, Scorpio is about the Phoenix rising from the ashes than the collapse and destruction of a society. In fact when I spoke of the last Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on October 18th. I said that the
" Lunar Eclipse and the subsequent Solar Eclipse on Nov. 3, 2013 are part of Saros Series 16 North which began on Feb. 15, 1599 and ends on March 25, 2843. This family of eclipses are known to bring a sense of deeper inspiration that illuminates new, progressive ideas." And I went onto say:
There will be a sudden and unexpected release of energies from our deeper unconcious and the earth herself thus offering major insight to help solve many of our current problems. These ideas or realizations whether generated from inner spiritual forces or the outer universe (as above so below) should be acted upon."
