We are on the cusp of a major cosmic shift which includes Jupiter (Zeus the King of Mt. Olympus) entering Gemini. Even though Jupiter is in detriment in Gemini opposing Sagittarius, the impact of this ingress will be anything but silent. Gemini is the sign the wordy Twins and compared to the placid Bull-Taurus, wants to talk and move quickly. Yes on June 11th. @ 10:22 AM PDT or 1:22 PM EDT.
Are you ready for the winds? I am speaking of a massive communications infrastructure exploding with new media and alternatives. Time for new ideas aided by Sun-Venus and S. Node in Gemini. There will be a huge emphasis on improving education, improving transportation issues, along with multiple distractions and different modes of thinking to say the least. Also there is strong tendency toward inflation, with Jupiter in a long standing square with Neptune in Pisces into 2013. The inflationary spiral will become more apparent as Venus stations direct on June 27th - Venus now in Gemini will reflect the currency changes.
The winds will also fan the multiple fires both metaphorically and literally especially with Mercury TSQ Uranus in primal fires sign Aries and Pluto (the destroyer) in cardinal earth Capricorn. Buildings destroyed, people missing in Colorado wildfire
With Jupiter, the planet of excess and relating to morals, ethics and prosperity in Gemini there will be more discourse, new ideas, books, ebooks, literary influence, sports will take on a new dimension relating to this Sagittaruis/Gemini axis with the nodes. There will be high winds, protests, swift travel, aerospace and major aviation events, air crashes, respiratory problems, information overload, travel stories, journalism both investigative and trivial and a lot more wind. In the Tarot, Gemini is the sign of the lovers and we should expect some high profile marriages and alliances. Some of the countries and cities founded with the Sun in Gemini which will be featured during this transit include: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Guyana, Iceland, Italy, Jordan London, Mali, Norway, Romania, Tunisia , The Vatican, Yemen.
The last time Jupiter made an entrance into Gemini was on June 30, 2000 and stayed there till July 14, 2001.
Just a few of the events that occurred back then:
July 10, 2000 - EADS, the world's second largest aerospace group is formed by the merger of AĆ©rospatiale-Matra, DASA, and CASA.
July 25, 2000 - Air France Flight 4590, a Concorde supersonic passenger jet, F-BTSC, crashes just after takeoff from Paris killing all 109 aboard and 4 on the ground.
Sept 26, 2000 - Anti-globalization protests in Prague (some 20,000 protesters) turned violent during the IMF and World Bank summits.
Nov 16, 2000 - Bill Clinton becomes the first U.S. President to visit Vietnam since the end of the Vietnam War.
Dec 22, 2000 - Pop singer Madonna and film director Guy Ritchie marry in Scotland
Jan 9, 2001 - Apple announced iTunes at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, for organizing and playing digital music and videos
Jan 29, 2001 - Thousands of student protesters in Indonesia storm parliament and demand that President Abdurrahman Wahid resign due to alleged involvement in corruption scandals.
Jan 31, 2001 - In the Netherlands a Scottish court convicts a Libyan and acquits another for their part in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 which crashed into Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988.
Feb 15, 2001 - First draft of the complete Human Genome is published in Nature
June 5, 2001 - Tropical Storm Allison makes landfall on the upper-Texas coastline as a strong tropical storm and dumps large amounts of rain over Houston. The storm caused $5.5 billion in damages, making Allison the costliest tropical storm in U.S. history.
May 9, 2001 - In Ghana 129 football fans die in what became known as the Accra Sports Stadium Disaster. The deaths were caused by a stampede (caused by the firing of teargas by police personnel at the stadium)that followed a controversial decision by the referee
July 3, 2001 - A Vladivostok Avia Tupolev TU-154 jetliner crashes on approach to landing at Irkutsk, Russia killing 145 people
Also consider that Mercury (ruler of Gemini and the 3rd. House) is translating the crazy and tumultuous energies of the upcoming Uranus-Pluto first waxing square (June 24th) into a combination of frenzy and reformation, we are starting to see more states of emergencies being declared as power plays are attempted...
We can't talk about Jupiter entering Gemini, without mentioning Mercury, the swift and mutable messenger now in Cancer as of June 7th. Mecury in Cancer not only adds more sensitivity and nurturing to our thoughts but can actually strengthen our memories.
Mercury will remain in Cancer till June 25th. when Leo takes charge yet on July 14th. Mercury will station to move retrograde @ 13 degrees Leo and not move direct till August 7th. Consider too that
Mercury is now in cardinal, active water sign Cancer first trines Neptune in mutable water sign then Mercury will oppose Pluto in Capricorn (exact June 11th) which can mean some major leaks and breakdowns.
When Jupiter enters Gemini today, Mercury (like Venus in May) is now OOB Out of Bounds this month by declination. Mercury started this declination trend on May 30th. and completes on June 19th. 30 May 2012 - 19 Jun 2012 - Mercury OOB) So even though Mercury has separated from that edgy and argumentative square with Mars he is moving into Out of Bounds territory. In fact Mercury is now (June 11th) + 25 degrees 13 minutes North Declination Just as Venus finishes her Out of Bounds journey on the June 4th Full Moon, Mercury is headed into that bizarre region.
When Mercury is out of bounds all forms of communications become more radical and in many ways more creative.
Mercury will move OOB by declination again at the end of the year starting in November 1 Nov 2012 - 6 Nov 2012 -
Mercury OOB 26 Dec 2012 - 14 Jan 2013 - Mercury OOB
Besides Mercury, Mars will have a huge effect in this Jupiter Gemini ingress since Mars on July 4th 1776 was posited at 21 degrees 22 minutes Gemini and square Neptune @ 22 degrees Virgo. This Neptune-Mars square has been equated with the illusion and fantasy that the US is the inevitable policeman for the world. Even though it has been much debated over the years, many astrologers concede the importance of the July 4, 1776 Sibley Chart set @ 5:10 PM for Philadelphia which is the horoscope most related to the Declaration of Independence being signed sealed and delivered. Thus on June 15th @ 10:32 PM PDT transiting Mars in Virgo will impact the duplicity of war represented by that historic natal position of Mars in Gemini.
