You probably know there is a total Solar Eclipse on August 12th.
The Moon's shadow will cover the entire disk the Sun giving us a super total solar eclipse. This eclipse will only be visible by people in Europe, Canada, Greenland and parts of Africa and Asia with a small contingent in the North Eastern United States. Viewers in North America will see a modest partial eclipse, with the biggest eclipse seen from northern and eastern Canada, Alaska and the northeastern U.S. The farther northeast you are, the deeper the eclipse will appear.
Totality and the Sub-Solar Point
Local totality times vary by region, starting in Greenland at 4:35 p.m. local time, moving to Iceland near 5:48 p.m., and finishing across Spain between 8:26 p.m. and 8:33 p.m. local time. As an astrologer my particular focus is when the new moon occurs. There ia another element to this eclipse that is usually not discussed, it is called the sub-solar point. The sub-solar point is the exact spot on Earth where the Sun is directly overhead (at a 90-degree angle). During the August 12 total solar eclipse, this point is located in the Atlantic Ocean, southwest of Africa. If you stood at the sub-solar point at the peak of the eclipse, the Sun would be a perfect bullseye directly above your head, and you would cast absolutely no shadow. This sub-solar point is over the Caribbean and South America. It is be active within 3 days of the solar eclipse and remain activated until the lunar eclipse of August 27/28.
Earthquakes and Fires
Eclipses are often related to natural disasters but can influence geopolitics and the financial markets.
We Look for markets making important reversals over the next few days. As we approach the eclipse date,
news just broke of a 7.4 magnitude earthquake (3.2 mi) E of San José del Palmar, Colombia. A Google Gemini summary noted that,

This eclipse is a counterpoint and Jupiter is in Leo expanding theme of leaders, celebrities and prominent figures having to give way to the North Node in the sign of the collective moving to our future destiny with Aquarius.

Salem represents towns across the USA fighting to prevent a takeover by the elite via items like Data Centers. Consider that Mars just entered the sign of the home, mother, nurturing the earth.
Mars in Cancer is in the 9th house which speaks to our higher mind, philosphy, search for truth, our personal code of ethics, pursuit of wisdom. In Cancer Mars is stimulaitng our active rememberance of past lives, our own Akashic records, connections with all our ancestors, channeling which will be spoken of in public and no longer hidden. With this transit of Mars in Cancer till September 27th not only will there be a boon for home remodeling but also for spiritual mediumship.

Moving into the 11th house in this chart into the domicle of the community the veritable pantheon of Egyptian deities we find Isis and Osiris at 17 and 19 degrees of Leo near the lights of the Sun and the Moon @ 20 degrees, followed by the S. Node (Dragon's Tail) predicting the shift from the shift from heavy handed rulers, governancce, self-apporinted monarchs. Rounding out the 11th house is Horus @ 11 degrees Virgo.

In conclusion we examine that light which is hidden by this eclipse by moving on to the 12th house. In this chart the 12th house relates to all types of instituions from prisons to hospitals.
It also speaks of our imagination, the ability to transcend personal will, intuition, escapism, faith, the need for acceptance, a time of release and taking on the mantle of spirituality.
In the 12th we find dwarf planet Orcus (@ 17 Virgo), the "straight-talking brother" of Pluto whose uncompromising integrity makeso him the ultimate whistle-blower exposing hidden truths, corruption and hypocrisy in all those areas of the 12th house of self undoing and the unconscious. Mary Magdalene is in Virgo @ 19 degrees. On July 22nd when the Sun entered Leo to translate the light of Jupiter and there was beautiful ceremony in Salem at Bush.
