Some days are just more magical than others. They are filled with deep emotions yet surrounded by nature's power and magnificence. July 22, 2026 was one of those days. My wife and I were excited about participating in a ceremony to honor Mary Magadelne in the evening starting at 6:30 PM.
Thundershowers were forecast for that day starting at 7 PM PDT. which would ruin the ritual gathering. By the time the event was to start dark clouds raced across the sky quickly to show us an angelic prescence.
It wasn't till around 8:30 PM when the everyone had left the ceremony that severe thunderstorms fueled by moisture remnants from Baja dropped over 8,300 lightning strikes across Oregon.
The celebration of remembrance, beauty, peace, devotion and sacred offerings flowed easily under clouds of magnificence.
