Today 8-8-25 the cosmic winds are swirling with unprecedented frequencis as we approach one of the most electrically charged Full Moons of our galactic evolution. On August 9th, at the witching hour of 12:55 AM PDT, the Sturgeon Full Moon blazes forth in revolutionary Aquarius—and dear ones, this is no ordinary lunation.  There are multiple facets and multi-dimensional perspectives in play.  

Mars entered Libra on the Super Galactic Center 

One of the primary activators for this Aquarian Full Moon is Mars which entered  Libra on August 7th.  Mars at 1 Libra 28.  Traditionally Mars is not comfortable in Libra where action can be deflected into compromise. More importantly Mars from the galactic perspective is conjunct the Super Galactic Center (SGC) currently @ 2 Libra 22. As Phillip Sedwick describes the SGC : The Super Galactic Center with (with galaxy M-87). This powerful black hole devours everything in sight. M-87 has the mass of 30 trillion Suns,

I am not here to analyze Ms Maxwell's chart but take note below that her nodes are tied up with this Full Moon.  N. Node @ 18 Leo indicating someone whose destiny was to be in the limelight.  See Below here S. Node (past crimes, talents) was in the public 10th house @ 18 Aquarius just one degree from the August 9th Full Moon .with Jupiter close enough to expand and shock our purient interest.  Here 8th house relating to sexual secrets and secret funding has Sun/Mercury and Hygeia (asteroid of health) all in Saturnine Capricorn. Mercury being her chart's ruler with Gemini @ 10 degrees on the ascendant .

Pluto's Revolutionary Dance with Aquarius

Since Pluto's ingress into Aquarius, we've been shedding the old matrix like a serpent sheds its skin (how appropriate for the Year of the Snake!). This Full Moon amplifies that transformational energy exponentially. Pluto conjunct Altair is bringing us prophetic visions and the courage to act upon them.

The continued trine to Uranus now activated by Alcyone and Sedna is inspiring us to journey within and let go of trauma and add discernment, clarity, forgiveness swimming in the waters of  super conciousness.

This lunation marks the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki (8-9-1945) which occured 3 days after Hiroshima. The is shown  chart below with Chiron @ 1 Libra 53 the same degree that Mars is on this Full Moon but off by a few minutes. Now 80 years later we have an opportunity to heal the events that occurred in Japan and around the world at that time.

With the moon in it's visionary and prophetic Balsamic Phase those born during this lunation are anticpating the next  phase of transition and preparation for transformation.  You are prophets, and the 'sensitives' with an intuitive understanding and clairvoyant view of the future.

With the Sun/Moon hugging each other @ 2 Leo 8 minutes in the sign of creativity and authenticiy at the top of the chart and applying to a close opposition with Pluto.

Before we look at the meaning of this opposition, let's look at the Sabian Symbol for 3 degrees Leo - "A middle-aged woman, her long hair flowing over her shoulders and in a braless youthful garmet." (50 years ago the original Sabian was: A mature woman who dared to have her hair bobbed."  A more up to date version: Per Dan Rudyar: "The will to meet the challenge of age in our modern society's glorification of youth."

Young or old, woman or man, we are all trying to adapt to the constant changes that are occuring daily and now in high gear with the recent transit of Uranus entering mutable, air sign Gemini.  During this new moon it’s important to focus on  your inner self that is the essence of who and what you are (authentic self), not the mask you wear.

Briefly note that the ruler of the Leo New Moon chart for PDT is Venus which is conjunct Mintaka in the Orion galaxy and a harbringer of divination and increased intuition - brilliant white and pale violet, the west star in the Belt of the Hunter. 

Opposing Venus in Gemini is Ras Alhague @ 22 degrees Sagittarius found in the constellation Ophichus, the serpent holder.  Ras Alhague is found in the head of the Serpent Charmer pertaining to mystical healing, kundalini rising. The Astrological Foundation of the Ozempic/Wegovy Craze

 Today I am going to divert from mentioning the latest and greatest astrological transit except a short reference to tomorrow's Mercury station and move retrograde tomorrow @ 9:45 PM PDT. It is important to note that Mercury stations @ 15 degrees 45 Leo with this hopeful Sabian Symbol: Brilliant Sunshine Just After a Storm . This is a symbol that speaks of both release and recovery . With all the instances of massive flooding and unexpected downpours in the USA and the world, we all need a time when the ending brings a time of resolution when things dry out. There is probably always more cleaning up and work to be done, but one should enjoy the release and pleasure of the relief that follows a storm. Dane Rudhyar spoke of this Sabian Symbol in his classic An Astrological Mandala as: The surge of life and love after a major crisis.  

Note that on the next New Moon @ 2 degrees 8 minutes of Leo with and opposition to Pluto Retro. in Aquarius that Mercury Rx will be in a trine to Ceres in Aries when self-care is forgotten in order to speed thru life. Except now with Pluto, Neptune, Saturn also all retrograde it is time to review, renew, revise and take stock of our lives as we leave the amnesia like storms of the Kali Yuga.  .

So what does this current Mercury retrograde have to do with Ozempic?   

Known generically as semaglutide, Ozempic was initially approved on December 5, 2017 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in adults with type 2 diabetes. Below is a chart set for Noon since there is no exact time  on 12/5/2017 for FDA approval in Silver Spring, MD. Mercury was also retrograde but this time in Sagittarius another fast moving fire sign willing to take risks and even expand and bend the truth along with distorting thinking.  Sometimes with Saturn & Mercury conjunct critical thinking can be favored and in Sagittarius an eye on the future. This aspect can sometimes aid  business dealings  and a common-sense approach, attention to detail, and long-term outlook make this an ideal time for setting long-term plans. Discovering that the side effect was worth more $ than the cure! 

Mercury and Saturn in the mutable fire sign Sagittarius became fired up, enthusiastic from a trine to Uranus (shocking and viral trends) and Pallas both Retrograde in Aries and all about Identity.  Pallas and Uranus   possessing  a fiery passion, potent strategic motives to push their chosen, egoic  pursuits, whether they are career-related or personal interests.  This passion fuels their drive to succeed and with ruler Mars in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries Retrograde. (Keep in mind that Aries rules the head and brain) Here with the Mars-Uranus opposition  there is a disruptive, rebellious energy  that demands the freedom from the restrictions you desire. Mars in Libra wants balance in the body and Uranus in Aries wants ACTION NOW. 

The astrological aspects at this time of FDA Approval mirrored how using Ozempic to treat diabetes, put the focus on the weight loss as the important  common side effect. With the retrogrades masking over that fact that this drug  is designed to be taken long-term and if stopped one regains the weight 

Looking into the future we see how many drug discoveries produce a side-effect that is adapted by the masses. The chart above shows  Jupiter in Scorpio expanding the need to transform ourselves was TSQ the S.Node in Aquarius (popular and past usage of new drugs like Viagra)   and N. Node in Leo the desire for a more beautiful body and modeling the use by celebrities. 

IE developed as a treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain caused by heart disease) which led to its eventual approval by the FDA in 1998 as a treatment for erectile dysfunction. Ozempic/semaglutide,by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone became a  deleterious fad. . As those hormone levels rise, the molecules go to your brain, telling it you're full. It also slows digestion by increasing the time it takes for food to leave the body. This is similar to the effect of bariatric surgery which are proven to carry dangerous side effects .

Wegovy Receives FDA Approval

Finally while everyone was at home during the Covid Plandemic, baking banana bread, watching the dancing nurses...  five years later the first weight loss drug was approved on June 4, 2021 

Mercury was retrograde once again this time in Gemini @ 23 degrees 33 minutes and closely square Neptune and Pallas in Pisces @ 23 degrees.

It is well known that when Mercury and Neptune are in hard aspects there can be strange effects happen with our minds. This aspect tends to distort our  thinking, confusing and complicating discussions, distortions and even messing up business dealings. Even giving or receiving instructions can suffer from a lack of clarity and misinterpretation.

Venus the planet that relates to sugar and thus sugar levels in the body was out of bounds by declination at 2 degrees Cancer trine Jupiter and opposing asteroid Astraea (goddess of justice).  Also Saturn now in Aquarius was in a close square to Uranus in fixed Taurus (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and is much more focused on 3D bodily appearance and awareness. 

The Saturn-Uranus squares can be  a frustrating time of rising tension and sudden, unexpected changes. However, they can bring opportunities as the elite know. Gifts come to those who stay open-minded, patient and flexible, what at first seem like challenges can be turned into rewards to rid ourselves  of negative, restrictive, and limiting things in your life.  Speaking of turning chaos into order and opportunities with the massive media onslaught with the Covid Vax, injections were now normalized!  Wegovy is administered by subcutaneous injection once weekly, with or without meals.

The Chart below is set for a noon time again with the nodes now in Gemini and Sagittarius which put the oneness  on Mercury and Jupiter the rulers.  Chiron the wounded healer is in the I AM sign of Aries near the Moon trine the South Node in Sagittarius a tendency to be overly optimistic, dismissive of details, or resistant to practical considerations.

Let's take a look how this drug works in  simple terms, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists are medications that mimic a natural hormone in your body called GLP-1.  (the Gemini line-up which also included POF (part of fortune) in the sign of the twins With POF in Gemini, this was at time when many enjoyed keeping everything at a superficial, cheerful and happy level. Not a time to  face the shadow and traumas to break free. It became apparent that this hormone helps regulate blood sugar and can also affect appetite and digestion. 

Here we are and the masses are willing to to accept the  mimicking of  GLP-1, these agonists help control blood sugar levels and can also promote weight loss. 

Now that Uranus has moved into Gemini and is no longer square Saturn but in a positive trine, I expect many people will continue to look into more natural solutions to using Wegovy and other brands like Zepbound, and Mounjaro. Having Pluto trine Uranus will add more weight to the warnings about Wegovy product label having a a boxed warning for an increased risk of thyroid C-cell tumors.

Now that the nodes have moved into Pisces/Virgo in January of 2025, the need for more holistic, life-affirming and nurturing healing techniques will supplant the dangers of allopathic and pharmaceutical solutions. Note that the sign of Virgo is the Ruler of the digestive system, pancreas, small intestines, where all the action of the GLP-agonists do their stuff.  It would be wise to check the Virgo alignments in your natal chart before taking any of these drugs 

 Now as Irony comes full circle: 

A new study suggests that Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs can boost testosterone

Sounds like a blatant promotion to get more men to use these products. 

Do your own research before injecting yourselves with any medication. 

Now that Neptune/Saturn are all both retrograde and will take a brief hiatus back in Pisces we will be reviewing secrets and wounds (connected to 12th house of Pisces).  Once we reach February of 2026 when both Neptune/Saturn are direct and conjunct in Aries our identities will be more inter-connected and ready to start a fresh new cycle away from these type of drugs and their bodily manipulations.
