Today I am going to divert from mentioning the latest and greatest astrological transit except a short reference to tomorrow's Mercury station and move retrograde tomorrow @ 9:45 PM PDT. It is important to note that Mercury stations @ 15 degrees 45 Leo with this hopeful Sabian Symbol: Brilliant Sunshine Just After a Storm . This is a symbol that speaks of both release and recovery . With all the instances of massive flooding and unexpected downpours in the USA and the world, we all need a time when the ending brings a time of resolution when things dry out. There is probably always more cleaning up and work to be done, but one should enjoy the release and pleasure of the relief that follows a storm. Note that on the next New Moon @ 2 degrees 8 minutes of Leo with and opposition to Pluto Retro. in Aquarius that Mercury Rx will be in a trine to Ceres in Aries when self-care is forgotten in order to speed thru life. Except now with Pluto, Neptune, Saturn also all retrograde it is time to review, renew, revise and take stock of our lives as we leave the amnesia like storms of the Kali Yuga. .
So what does this current Mercury retrograde have to do with Ozempic?
Known generically as semaglutide, Ozempic was initially approved on December 5, 2017 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in adults with type 2 diabetes. The astrological aspects at this time of FDA Approval mirrored how using Ozempic to treat diabetes, put the focus on the weight loss as the important common side effect. With the retrogrades masking over that fact that this drug is designed to be taken long-term and if stopped one regains the weight
Looking into the future we see how many drug discoveries produce a side-effect that is adapted by the masses. The chart above shows Jupiter in Scorpio expanding the need to transform ourselves was TSQ the S.Node in Aquarius (popular and past usage of new drugs like Viagra) and N. Node in Leo the desire for a more beautiful body and modeling the use by celebrities.

Ozempic/semaglutide,by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone became a deleterious fad. . As those hormone levels rise, the molecules go to your brain, telling it you're full. It also slows digestion by increasing the time it takes for food to leave the body. This is similar to the effect of bariatric surgery which are proven to carry dangerous side effects .

It is well known that when Mercury and Neptune are in hard aspects there can be strange effects happen with our minds. This aspect tends to distort our thinking, confusing and complicating discussions, distortions and even messing up business dealings. Even giving or receiving instructions can suffer from a lack of clarity and misinterpretation.
Venus the planet that relates to sugar and thus sugar levels in the body was out of bounds by declination at 2 degrees Cancer trine Jupiter and opposing asteroid Astraea (goddess of justice). Also Saturn now in Aquarius was in a close square to Uranus in fixed Taurus (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and is much more focused on 3D bodily appearance and awareness.
The Saturn-Uranus squares can be a frustrating time of rising tension and sudden, unexpected changes. However, they can bring opportunities as the elite know. Now that the nodes have moved into Pisces/Virgo in January of 2025, the need for more holistic, life-affirming and nurturing healing techniques will supplant the dangers of allopathic and pharmaceutical solutions. Note that the sign of Virgo is the Ruler of the digestive system, pancreas, small intestines, where all the action of the GLP-agonists do their stuff. It would be wise to check the Virgo alignments in your natal chart before taking any of these drugs

Now that Neptune/Saturn are all both retrograde and will take a brief hiatus back in Pisces we will be reviewing secrets and wounds (connected to 12th house of Pisces). Once we reach February of 2026 when both Neptune/Saturn are direct and conjunct in Aries our identities will be more inter-connected and ready to start a fresh new cycle away from these type of drugs and their bodily manipulations.
