For those new to my blog, my goal during this entire 18 day period starting on July 31st to August 17th is to describe some of the dramatic changes happening during this Mayan 5th day/Ninth Heaven ruled by Quetzalcoatl.
In my report for August 2nd, I spoke of Juno's ingress into the balancing sign of justice, Libra. Juno is a symbol for standing up and refusing to accept inequality or injustice in relationships. In fact since Juno entered Libra (the sign relating to court cases) on July 27th. there have been more and more legal decisions to uphold the rights of the powerless. The fact that
Juno is not only in moving into a TSQ with Mars-Pluto but is opposing Uranus in Aries. This can result in sudden, unexpected, reversals in justice. Juno-Uranus in difficult aspects like oppositions deals with the threat to personal freedoms in all kinds of relationships.
Rumsfeld (born July 9, 1932) with natal Sun/Pluto in Cancer opposing asteroid Ceres (the principle of letting go with unconditional love.) Currently Mars transiting in Cancer is conjunct his natal Venus while TSQ Juno in Libra and transiting Pluto. Mars will eventually cross his natal Ceres-Pluto threshold in early September and we will hear more about this situation. Note that his natal Ceres-Pluto opposition has made the already tenacious, stiff Rumsfeld even less willing to let go of his military creations.
Perhaps he needs to take a chapter from the Ceres-Pluto myth that renewal can follow letting go as was with Persephone .
Yes "The wheels of justice grind slowly but exceedingly fine..." So now the plaintiff who worked as a translator for the Marines in Anbar province in Iraq, before being detained for nine months is seeing this come true. It wasn't until two years after he was "unexpectedly" released in August 2006, that he filed this suit in U.S. District Court in Washington. Welcome to Aug. 4th with the 5th day of the Mayan 9th Heaven bringing shouts of capitulation with global financial collapse. Back on July 14th. Calleman wrote: "Because it could be so painful a global financial collapse would seem to many to be a destructive event and hence not likely to occur in a period of light, a day."
The big news of the day: Dow Average Plunges 513, Worst Drop Since 2008 all due to fear and panic.
Shall we say "Irrational Fears" driving the markets?
Pure and simply this major tanking of the world markets is based on fear and insecurities. Mars entered a water sign Cancer, in fact a cardinal active sign which

Mars just entered Cancer to create panic (Cancer as a sign is highly emotional and prone to hysteria).
When we compare the chart set for the foundational NYSE (May 17, 1792) placed on the outside of dual wheel to start of market operations today Aug. 4th.
We transiting Mars in Cancer @ 00degrees47 closely TSQ the NYSE natal nodes of destiny in Libra-Aries. Also those cardinal, active nodes in the NYSE chart
plus currently Mars is moving into a conjunction with natal Pallas/Cancer (strategy) in the NYSE chart. Is this capitulation for the markets? Probably not - will their be
a rebound - yes a bounce of sort as Sun-Venus-Mercury all meet in Leo via transits on Aug. 16th to conjunct the NYSE's natal Uranus...but the ultimate direction is down.
Mars now is in the sign of real estate and homes and is triggering a totally irrational but active Grand Cardinal Cross. What will happen to the price of homes and value of real estate? Have we hit a bottom yet - probably not.

Take a gander at this recent article America's 10 Sickest Housing Markets An excerpt from this piece: "...some cities have home vacancy rates over 5% and rental vacancy rates over 10%. Obviously, these levels of unused inventory have the effect of driving down both home and rental prices month after month. It also means that there is comparatively little demand for the purchase of new or existing homes."
Of course if you are not motivated by using your house as a piggy bank expecting appreciation it is actually a good time to buy. Except folks get ready cause there is so much to come during this phase with Mars going on to exactly TSQ to both Uranus(sudden) -Pluto on Aug. 9th at this Mid-Point of this 5th Day.
The import thing is that we are in a time when material world and the current financial systems need transformation. Today this article from Florida where a town stood up to a corrupt police force caught my eye: Oak Hill Dissolves City Police Force On Friday, July 29th, two days before the 5th Day ruled by Quetzalcoatl began.. The city of Oak Hill in Volusia County has dissolved its police force. In fact on July 29th. was one day before the Leo New Moon and Mercury was opposing Neptune (known for dissolving boundaries).
City leaders were set to discuss the Oak Hill Police Department's status Friday following a number of issues, including pot plants found on Mayor Mary Lee Cook's property, which she said she believes were placed by someone from the police staff.
However, instead of a discussion, the commissioners voted 3-2 Monday night to dissolve the force.
Then I remembered Juno entered equalizing and justice oriented Libra on July 27th.
All of this is another set up for this budding process involving renewal of justice .
Juno, the asteroid Goddess of the Heavens deals with power in relationships and partnerships along with the giving away of power and the fear of betrayal.

On the Gregorian date July 31, 2011 the long awaited Fifth Day and 9th Heaven of the Unity Wave begins. This 18 day period lasting till Aug. 17th is ruled by Quetzalcoal, the Aztec God most aligned with Christ Consciousness. Day five opened right after a hopeful Leo New Moon and marks the budding phase of a new unified consciousness. In true synchronization with the fiery Leo Moon, July 31st initiated
the Fifth Day with Seventh Eruption of Mt. Etna in 2011 This volcanic explosion occurred at the southern end of the Mayan World Tree's midline in Sicily.
Awakening might be a better term than budding but during this 5th Day ruled by the Aztec God - Quetzalcoatl or the "plumed serpent" of course we still are in a budding period - an early stage of development showing promise or potential for total transformation. Quetzalcoal was also ruler of the great metropolis sometimes called "Tollan Cholula" or the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlán. Mayan expert Carl Calleman compares the energy brought by Quetzalcoatl as "a winding energy of light in our bodies, a manifestation of the movement of the serpent of light" Just as the Leo New Moon is ushering in a massive influx of light being conjunct Venus
and trine Uranus the great awakener, the Fifth Day helps with the absorption of the energy of limitless light. This light is like a cosmic electricity holds a unifying synthesis stimulating the right brain and unifying this with the left half.
Day 5 has a lot to do with activating Kundalini energy and activism. Kundalini literally means coiled snake.
The 8th Master Key in the Tarot: Strength is designated by the Hebrew letter: Teth meaning snake. Key 8th represents the path in the Kabbalah between Netzach - Creativity, sensitivity and anarchy to Tiphareth - Christ Consciousness and harmony. For the Qabalist, Teth is about "serpent power" and the power of snakes to regenerate by shedding their own skins. Per Paul Foster Case, taste is the sense
which correlates with Teth and digestion is the function. The image of the snake eating its own tail comes to mind. Serpent power feeds on itself and is self-sustaining because the sum total of this universal conscious energy remains the same. Let's just
say that Day 5 will be about taming the Lion which represents all subhuman energies and potent subhuman expressions of this cosmic force. In the B.O.T.A. version below the woman (who represents Primal Will) opens the mouth of the Lion to articulate adding speech to wild forces which seem destructive. This is about being a partner with nature not a dominant figure filled with religious hubris. During the Fifth Day the doctrine "Dominionism" the will meet reform in the form of Quetzalcoatl and the 9th wave.
Serpent Power/Kundalini
Kundalini is deep, instinctive force Shakti and is said to lie coiled at the base of the spine to unleash a type 'serpent power'. And it will be this "serpent power" which will lead to a sort of collective enlightenment.
This all sounds good especially the Christ Consciousness but how do we get there?
Let's look at previous underworlds during Day 5th and Heaven 9.
Day Five of the National Underworld occurred: 40-434 AD, this was a time of the spread of Roman Christianity in the West. In August, there will undoubtedly be some incredible shifts in Christianity and all religions. It is said that the Judaeo-Christian tradition expands during the DAYS of the Unity Wave and the Islamic during NIGHTS. Just as Quetzalcoatl's energies return in force during the Fifth Day so does the truths about Christ Consciousness began to take hold. As Barbara Hand Clow said in her last new moon report: Day Five is when the new creations become visible, so this Leo lunation may be the most influential one during the Universal Underworld
No one can argue that people are waking up to the destruction of the earth and the tyranny being imposed by mis-guided rulers. As the 4th Night ended the revolution of

Unity Wave on July 3rd. It now appears that the end to dominance in the mideast is now taking hold in efforts to promote a more peaceful world.
As I said Quetzalcoatl is intimately connected with Venus and Venus symbolizes money and currency. Day 5 begins with Venus in between the morning star phase and ready to begin as an evening star. On Aug. 16th. Venus will meet the Sun in a superior conjunction and also Mercury in triple love feast in Leo. It is time to celebrate the beauty of life and nature and be as little children playing under the Sun.
When National Underworld ended 434 AD, Roman
coinage was standardized throughout the empire. The Fifth Day with Planetary Underworld - in 1932 (during the great depression) had gold dollars taken out of circulation.
With the Galactic Underworld in 2007 - the US Housing bubble burst as interest rates
were brought down.
During this cycle of the Universal Underworld the nature of money, love, values and creations are about to under go significant changes. This is a time to celebrate and ground the new structures around deeper values of life. We only have a short time before Fifth Night begins ( Aug. 16th lasting till Sept. 4th.) which is ruled by the Aztec God, Tezcatlipoca aka the "Smoking Mirror. " Tezcatlipoca is connected to hurricanes, the north, earth changes, obsidian, enmity, discord,, war and strife.
The Fifth Night is known to cause collapse and destruction of old forms that don't fit with the Unity Wave.
The Grand Cardinal Squares are crossing everywhere especially over the Fed. Reserve
(Dec. 23, 1913) with Mars entering Cancer on Aug. 3rd. to conjunct the Fed. Reserve natal Pluto and oppose the Sun.
The chart below offers hope and is set for 5:08 AM PDT in San Francisco when the Sun conjuncts Venus then Mercury meets Venus (4:21 PM) and finally Sun conjuncts Mercury all in the sign of strength, courage and the full blossom of creation.
As the blinders starting coming off in droves and the veils are lifted during the Fifth
Day, we are confronted with what is not working.
Let me throw this article in the mix - this is about the current moneyed interests ala Amitakh Stanford who talks about who will benefit with Total Economic Collapse. Global Financial Default
Amitakh likens the moneyed interests to "blank faces" with out expression and human emotions. She goes on to say they have surreptitiously manipulated and corrupted human emotions of kindness, love, charity and compassion into the blank face characteristics of greed, exploitation, lust and cruelty.
Let me just say that the concept of greed is good will be replaced by generosity during the Fifth Day. We don't have a lot of time before the Fourth World begins on Aug. 24th
and finalizes in Oct. 28, 2011. The Fourth World is when we reap what we have sowed.
The First World or the initiating stage (Feb. 11 to April 16, 201l) led to the Second World the building stage (April 16 to June 20, 2011) to the Third World - most creative
phase (June 20 to August 24, 2011). Our destiny as humanity is to be as creative and imaginative as soon as possible to replace the older forms of greed, dominance, nuclear power, Monsanto's GMO, the military industrial complex, fear based media - you get the idea!
Today's report will just focus on the Leo New Moon which occurs one day before the
start of the next 18 phase of the Mayan Calendar: the 5th Day/9th Heaven (July 31 to Aug. 17th) Instead of putting focus on the advent of the Fifth Day/9th Heaven ruled by the "feathered-serpent" or earth changes including volcanoes - I will describe the New Moon over DC with Fixed Stars. The focus will be this portal lunation over DC and the Fixed starts.

The Sun-Moon-Venus in dramatic Leo are all posited in the 9th house which is connected to foreign relations. In mundane
astrology the 9th house also relates to the ecclesiastical and legal professions. Let's take a minute and run thru the list of keywords for the 9th house: religious affairs the church, justice, lawyers, higher education, overseas, and publishing.
Undoubtedly all of these will be involved in the next two weeks but I get the distinct impression that foreign debtors might top the list. The reality is that if the US defaults we will be facing the fact that 75% of the debt is owed to foreign/non-American entities and the rest to the Federal reserve. Yes the Federal reserve which is private corporation and whose true owners are likely overseas.
In fact regarding the debt ceiling drama and the Leo Moon; we are seeing childish behavior among American legislators. (In Senate, bitter debate but little agreement on Democratic debt plan) In fact it seems that these adolescent senators are following the lead of NASA which tends to schedule flights during Mercury retrograde periods.
So here we are with Mercury ready to station retrograde (Aug. 2nd. )and not turn direct
till August 26th. Financial astrologer Merriman calls this "an unhealthy and regular pattern for the U.S. Congress and White House " which resonates with past policy decisions under Mercury retrogrades. In fact back on Dec. 10th 2010 during the
debates over extending the Bush tax cuts per Obama, Mercury was stationing and ready to move retrograde. On that day Bernie Sanders began a mini-filibuster which lasted 8 hours and 37 minutes of speaking..
Yes the New Moon over DC has Scorpio rising and the ancient ruler Mars (aggressive behavior) in the 8th house of debt owed to the nation, taxes and foreign investment.
Plus Mars opposes the modern ruler of the chart in the 2nd house of financial institutions, investments, national wealth and values.
Saturn, the symbol of accountability and rational thinking is in the 11th house of the Congress and Saturn
Saturn in the 11th house also indicates the balance of power -
In this case Saturn also is showing how there is a stagnation of social structures and the oppressive nature of the ruling body.
Mercury sits right on the Mid-Heaven (executive branch) while the Regulus the heart of the Leo Constellation conjuncts Mercury the messenger.
Regulus is one of the Four Royal Stars or archangel star assigned to angel Raphael the Watcher of the North.
Regulus enters the sign Virgo in 2012 AD. It entered the sign Leo in 156 BC.
Virgo which is ruled by Mercury (now at the top of the chart in Mid-Heaven) will play
a big part in raising the debt ceiling with rational solutions.

Note that this is one of the darkest eclipses ever, second only to the total lunar eclipse on July 16, 2000. From the video above, we see that this eclipse
lasted a full 100 minutes offering beautiful contrasts of light and dark.
As I indicated, the ruler of this 18 day Night is Mictlantecuhtli, Lord of the Dead.
Since this "night" began on June 7th, there have been a number of themes around death whether physical emotional, political or spiritual - Per example
Now that Neptune is transiting in it's home sign Pisces and retrograde, an "aha" moment about arrive concerning the true nature of death/rebirth and the continuum of life. Also on June 16th. Mercury enters psychic Cancer setting up a series of powerful cardinal squares which will open portals more etheric places.
Most importantly the combination of this eclipse and the accelerated 3rd Night will help many people cast off their blinders (as Carl Calleman describes) and began to see the truth of a world wide oneness revolution and subsequent unity.
In the above article, Calleman explains that the "oneness revolution is now spreading notably to a few European nations such as Portugal, Greece and Spain and North Africa." He goes on to emphasize that the Ninth wave will not generate the same process of change towards oneness and people in the far West and far East (China). The process of bringing about a collective oneness revolution is not going to end on Oct. 28, 2011 but will by then add new dimensional awareness and telepathic abilities for all of us.

Today, Thursday, June we had a major power outage in Detroit which is going to extend into Friday. In essence there is a theme developing which synchronizes with Saturn stationing direct and opposing Uranus in Aries this afternoon. According to Aztec mythology, when a person died he was interred with material goods (similar to the Egyptians). These possesions were carried on the long and dangerous journey to the underworld. Upon arrival in Mictlan these personal treasures were offered to Mictlantecuhtli and his wife.

In Aztec mythology, Mictecacihuatl was the Queen of Mictlan, the underworld, and wife of Mictlantecuhtli. Her purpose is to keep watch over the bones of the dead.
